Well, it’s Saturday night and I just got paid,
Fool about my money, don’t try to save,
My heart says go go, have a time,
Saturday night and I’m feelin’ fine,
I’m gonna rock it up, I’m gonna rip it up,
I’m gonna shake it up, gonna ball it up,
I’m gonna rock it up, and ball tonight.
Got me a date and I won’t be late,
Picked her up in my 88,
Shag on down by the union hall,
When the joint starts jumpin’ I’ll have a ball,
I’m gonna rock it up, I’m gonna rip it up,
I’m gonna shake it up, gonna ball it up,
I’m gonna rock it up, and ball tonight.
‘Long about ten I’ll be flying high,
Walk on out unto the sky,
But I don’t care if I spend my dough,
‘Cause tonight I’m gonna be one happy soul,
I’m gonna rock it up, I’m gonna rip it up,
I’m gonna shake it up, gonna ball it up,
I’m gonna rock it up, and ball tonight.
Little Richard – Lucille
1956 -1957 a fost perioada in care Little Richard vindea nu mai putin de 32 de milioane de discuri. Initial ritmul era mult mai lent, piesa se numea “Directly From My Heart to You” si eroina cantecului era Queen Sonya, insa versiunea finala a acestui cantec cu puternice influente jazz are un ritm mult mai alert incadrandu-se perfect in stilul lui Little Richard, supranumit “arhitectul muzicii rock and roll”. Lucille se numea si chitara artistului B. B. King.
Lucille, won’t you do your sister’s will?
Oh, Lucille, won’t you do your sister’s will?
Well, you ran away and left, I love you still.
Lucille, please, come back where you belong.
Oh, Lucille, please, come back where you belong.
I been good to you, baby, please, don’t leave me alone.
Lucille, baby, satisfy my heart.
Oh, Lucille, baby, satisfy my heart.
I slaved for you, baby, and gave you such a wonderful start.
I woke up this morning, Lucille was not in sight.
I asked her friends about her but all their lips were tight.
Lucille, please, come back where you belong.
I been good to you, baby, please, don’t leave me alone.

Good Golly Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
When you’re rockin’ and a rollin’ can’t hear your momma call.
From the early early mornin’ till the early early night
You can see Miss Molly rockin’ at the house of blue lights.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
When you’re rockin’ and a rollin’ can’t hear your momma call.
Well, now momma, poppa told me: “Son, you better watch your step.”
If I knew my momma, poppa, have to watch my dad myself.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
When you’re rockin’ and a rollin’ can’t hear your momma call.
I am going to the corner, gonna buy a diamond ring.
Would you pardon me if it’s a nineteen carat golden thing.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
When you’re rockin’ and a rollin’ can’t hear your momma call.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
Good golly, Miss Molly, sure like a ball.
When you’re rockin’ and a rollin’ can’t hear your momma call

Gonna tell aunt Mary, ’bout uncle John,
He claim he has the misery but he’s havin’ a lot of fun,
Oh baby, yes baby, woo baby, havin’ me some fun tonight.
Well, long tall Sally, she’s built for speed,
She’s got everything that uncle John need,
Oh baby, yes baby, woo baby, havin’ me some fun tonight.
Well, I saw uncle John with bald headed Sally,
He saw aunt Mary coming and he ducked back in the alley,
Oh baby, yes baby, woo baby, havin’ me some fun tonight.
We’re gonna have some fun tonight,
We’re gonna have some fun tonight,
Woo, have some fun tonight,
Everything’s all right,
Have some fun, have me some fun tonight!
