‘Eddie Cochran’
Eddie Cochran – I Remember
I keep thinkin’, hopin’ and prayin’
That you will remember and come back to me
When you remember the happiness of our past
Do you think this heartache will last
Remember, oh yes
If love’s a game, for you can’t win
Remember, I lost, losing you
If you find, in time, your love is mine
Come back, I’ll be waiting for you
I keep thinkin’, hopin’ and prayin’
That you will remember and come back to me
Eddie Cochran – C’mon Everybody
Eddie Cochrane este unul din pionierii muzicii rock and roll iar piesa “C’mon everybody”, lansata in 1958 este unul dintre hiturile fara varsta ale cantaretului. La numai 21 de ani, in 1960, deceda intr-un accident de masina in timpul unui turneu in Marea Britanie. Nume mari ale rockului (The Who, The Beach Boys, Sex pistols, Beatles, Led Zeppelin) i-au recunoscut importanta si au realizat coveruri dupa piesele sale.
Well c’mon everybody and let’s get together tonight
I got some money in my jeans and I’m really gonna spend it right
Been a-[A]doin’ my homework all week long
now the [A]house is empty the folks are gone
Ooo C’mon everybody
Well my baby’s number one but I’m gonna dance with three or four
And the house’ll be shakin’ from my bare feet slapping the floor
When you hear that music you can’t sit still
If your brother won’t rock then your sister will
Ooo C’mon everybody
Well we’ll really have a party but we gotta put a guard outside
If the folks come home I’m afraid they gonna have my hide
There’ll be no more movies for a week or two
No more runnin’ ’round with the usual crew
Who cares C’mon everybody
Eddie Cochran – Summertime Blues
I’m a-gonna raise a fuss, i’m a-gonna raise a holler
about a-workin’ all summer just to try to earn a dollar
well one time i called my baby, tried to get a date
my boss says, no dice son, you gotta work late
sometimes i wonder, what i’m agonna do
but there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues
Ooh well my main and papa told me
son you gotta make some money
if you wanna use the car to go ridin’ next sunday
well i didn’t go to work, told the boss i was sick
now you can’t use the car ’cause you didn’t work a-late
sometimes i wonder, what i’m a-gonna do
but there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues
I’m gonna take two weeks, gonna have a fine vacation
i’m gonna take my problem to the united nations
well i called my congresman and he said quote
i’d like to help you son, but you’re too young to vote
sometimes i wonder, what i’m a-gonna do
but there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues
