Connie Francis – Fallin’
Connie Francis este prima cantareata americana star international. In 1960 era desemnata cea mai populara artista in Europa.
A venit cover-ul “Who’s sorry now” si prima aparitie la emisiunea American Bandstand.
De asemenea sa cant rock and roll s-a datorat si faptului ca-l cunosteam pe Bobby Darin. Am devenit o impatimita a rock and roll-ului si a rhythm and blues-ului din cauza lui Bobby Darin.
I got the feelin I’m fallin’
Like a star up in the blue
Like I was fallin’ off Niagara
In a paddle boat canoe
I got the feelin’ I’m a fallin’
And it’s all because of you
Like I was walkin’ on a tight rope
Swingin’ in the breeze
And though I tried to keep my balance
When I weaken in my knees
I got the feelin’ I’m a fallin’
Lover, help me please
Like a leaf falls from the branch
Like a rock from an avalanche
Like the rain on a stormy day
I never thought I’d fall this way
I thought that love could never touch me
Yeah, I was ridin’ high
And then my ivory tower toppled
And I tumbled from the sky
I got the feelin’ that I’m fallin’
And you’re the reason why
Like a life that he married for
Like the walls of Jericho
Like Delilah’s holy town
And Samson tore it down
I thought that love could never touch me
Yeah, I was ridin’ high
And then my ivory tower toppled
And I tumbled from the sky
I got the feelin’ that I’m fallin’
And you’re the reason why
And you’re the reason why
And you’re the reason why
And you’re the reason why
Connie Francis – Who’s Sorry Now
Desi piesa “Who’s sorry now?” a fost scrisa inca din 1923 a devenit un hit abia in perioada anilor ‘50 in interpretarea artistei Connie Francis.
Who’s sorry now, who’s sorry now
Whose heart is achin’ for breakin’ each vow
Who’s sad and blue, who’s cryin’ too
Just like I cried over you
Right to the end, just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way, now you must pay
I’m glad that you’re sorry now
Right to the end, just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way, now you must pay
I’m glad that you’re sorry now
Connie Francis – Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool
Intre cei doi s-a infiripat o relatie.
Piesa “Everybody’s somebody’s fool” a ajuns pe primul loc in topurile americane (1960) fiind imediat urmata de alt cantec al artistei, “My heart has a mind of its own”. Era prima cantareata cu doua piese care atingeau consecutiv prima pozitie a clasamentelor americane.
The tears I cry for you, could fill an ocean.
But you don’t care how many tears I cry.
And though you only lead me on and hurt me.
I couldn’t bring myself to say goodbye.
Cause everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Everybody’s somebody’s plaything.
And there are no exceptions to the rule.
Yes, everybody’s somebody’s fool.
I told myself it’s best that I forget you
Though I’m a fool at least I know the score
Yet darlin’ I’d be twice as blue without you
It hurts but I come runnin’ back for more
Cause everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Everybody’s somebody’s plaything.
And there are no exceptions to the rule.
Yes, everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Someday you’ll find someone you really care for.
And if her love should prove to be untrue.
You’ll know how much this heart of mine is breaking.
You’ll cry for her the way i’ve cried for you.
Yes, everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Everybody’s somebody’s plaything.
And there are no exceptions to the rule.
Yes, everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Connie Francis – Sincerely
Sincerely, oh yes, sincerely
‘Cause I love you so dearly, please say you’ll be mine
Sincerely, oh, you know how I love you
I’ll do anything for you, please say you’ll be mine.
Oh Lord, won’t you tell me why I love that fella so
He doesn’t want me, but I’ll never, never, never, never let him go

Connie Francis – Stupid Cupid
A insemnat revenirea solistei in primele pozitii ale clasamentelor vremii.
Stupid Cupid you’re a real mean guy
I’d like to clip your wings so you can’t fly
I’m in love and it’s a crying shame
And I know that you’re the one to blame
Hey hey, set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
I can’t do my homework and I can’t think straight
I meet her every morning ’bout half past eight
I’m acting like a lovesick fool
You’ve even got me carrying your books to school
Hey hey, set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
You mixed me up for good right from the very start
Hey now, go play Robin Hood with somebody else’s heart
You got me jumping like a crazy clown
And I don’t feature what you’re putting down
Well since I kissed her loving lips of wine
The thing that bothers me is that I like it fine
Hey hey, set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
You got me jumping like a crazy clown
And I don’t feature what you’re putting down
Well since I kissed his loving lips of wine
The thing that bothers me is that I like it fine
Hey hey, set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
Hey hey, set me free
Stupid Cupid stop picking on me
